I went to classes this morning and then went to "Avenue Q" that night. The show was really funny. Granted, some parts are a bit racy, but it shows real life pretty accurately and does have a redeeming ending.
The way home was interesting since this creepy guy kept staring at me in the theatre and then these other guys tried to start a fight with our boys in McDonalds. Thankfully nothing actually happened.
Friday Oct 5
I went to the British Museum to work on research for my Bible class. The Museum is so big! It took a while to find the artifacts that I needed to find, and then one room that I needed was closed, which was frustrating. So we left and went to Harrod's to look around. I can't believe how expensive all these designer clothes are! There are a teddy bear for $40,000! And it was ugly, which made it even worse. Then I went shopping at Covent Garden and saw some really funny street performers.
Saturday Oct 6
I went back to the British Museum to finish my research. Then I went to a matinee performance of "Much Ado About Nothing." However, this was the weirdest theatrical experience I have ever had. I didn't get the memo that I should have taken acid before the show. It was set in the 1990's in an old warehouse with rope lights and strange posters. The actors broke into song a lot and played strange instruments. They also sang Michael Jackson and David Bowie...strange. The actors all played multiple characters and never left that stage which made things very confusing. I'm glad the show was cheap, but I definitely wanted a refund.
Sunday Oct 7
We made the long trip out to Wembley Park to go to church. Then we went to Asda (British Wal-mart) to do some shopping and eat lunch. I took a nap and then went to classes. Yes...we had school on Sunday night. :(
