My final update from London

Mon Nov 26
I had class in the morning. Since Chris didn't have class later, he left and stood in line so that we could get tickets for "King Lear" staring Ian McKellen. We got them for 5 pounds! The seats were great and the show was fantastic! Except for the part where Ian McKellen was naked...ew.

Tues Nov 27
We took the coach to Warwick Castle. It was fun to explore. One exhibit "Dream of Battle" reminded me of Starwars meets Lord of the Rings meets...hell. It was very odd. But really funny. We also tried on funny clothes and the lady tried to make me look ridculous. I was an inch away from touching a peacock and it gobbled! It was hilarious. I didn't know that peacocks could gobble.

We then spent the afternoon in Stratford-Upon-Avon. It was so neat to see Shakespeare's birthhome, church, and grave. We also saw Anne Hathaway's home and many other signigicant places. It was really cool.

I came back and went with Lolli, Jillian, and Courtney to see "Desperarately Seeking Susan." It is a new musical based off the movie and using the music of Blondie. It was a fun show, especially after two nights of Shakespeare tragedy.

Wed Nov 28
I took my monarch's quiz...glad it is over. Then we went and took pictures at Abbey Road. It was hard to do it and dodge traffic, but we got a couple and I signed the wall.
I went to the Elvis store because they had a Beatles sale. The lady there was so nice and loved America and we had a really good talk.
I went and took pictures at the British Museum for the last time. Then I went and watched "Rent" with Dr. Cox which was hilarious. She actually kind of enjoyed it, which is a bit surprising.
I got back and found out that I had a Theatre History test to take the next day...so with less than 24 hour notice....boo.
We had a fake ring ceremony for Lolli and Clive Owen. It was pretty funny.

Thurs Nov 29
I slept in a bit and studied and then went to lunch at Dionysis for lunch. It was hard to order because my eye was hurting. I'm sure I looked stupid and kind of like a pirate, but oh well.
We had a group dinner at Ye Old Cheshire Cheese. The food was pretty good and we had fun conversation with our group.
I came back and went to take my test, but beforehand I found out that Maxine died, so I was very distracted. I am happy that she is not in pain and is much better off in heaven, but I wish that I could be home with my church family right now.

Fri Nov 30
I had my last day in London. So sad. We went out and were kind of buying our feelings, which was sad. We thought that if we bought more London things it would be like we weren't leaving. Then I finished packing and hung out.

I am leaving early in the morning to head for Paris. Please pray for my safety and that I can get all of the trains that I need. This will be an adventure....
